Matthew16:24 Then Jesus told his
disciples, "If any man would come after me,
let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
25: For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever
loses his life for my sake will find it.
26: For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world
and forfeits his life? Or what shall a man give in return for his life?
27: For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of
his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has done.
28: Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will
not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his
kingdom."

Luke 9:22:
"The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the
elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third
day be raised."
23: And he said to all, "If any
man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross
daily and follow me.

Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own
interests, but also to the interests of others.
5: Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ
Jesus,
6: who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality
with God a thing to be grasped,
7: but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born
in the likeness of men.
8: And being found in human form he humbled himself and became
obedient unto death, even death on a cross.
9: Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the
name which is above every name,
10: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven
and on earth and under the earth,
11: and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.

Luke 24:1 But on the first day of
the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which
they had prepared.
2: And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3: but when they went in they did not find the body.
4: While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by
them in dazzling apparel;
5: and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the
ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the
dead?
6: Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,
7: that the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful
men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise."

John 3:14 And
as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man
be lifted up,
15: that whoever believes in him may have eternal life."

Isaiah 49:15 "Can a
woman forget her sucking child, that she should have no compassion on
the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
16: Behold, I have graven you on the palms of my hands; |

John 11:35: Jesus wept.

|
4: Now the word of the LORD came to me saying,
5: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before
you were born I consecrated you;
